Welcome to the Streetline Defence Martial Arts Website

The purpose of self defence is to defend one self in order to survive. This may mean having to walk away or run from a potentially dangerous situation. It can mean using common sense in a lot of situations in order to avoid conflict.

In the eyes of the law, everybody has the right to defend him/herself with a reasonable amount of force. I am sure you have all heard of a situation where the victim becomes the attacker in order to survive. You may or may not remember certain techniques or moves if a conflict arises, but a strong mental attitude will help you survive. This will be developed with training, as your confidence, fitness, strength, flexibility and basic knowledge of self defence improves at the Streetline club.

With the rising threat of violence in our society, it has become a preoccupation of many to feel safe in their everyday situations - socially, and in the workplace.

Streetline Defence Karate can be taught to children from early age to adults at any age, and helps build confidence, self defence, fitness and a more rounded individual.

This can provide women with an opportunity to realise that they too can be strong. What they may lack in physical bulk, they may make up for in technique.

Streetline club teaches you three options in given situations, when there is a real danger, the three elements are:

  1. Attack/defend
  2. Flight (run off)
  3. Compromise

Come along and train in the way of Shukokai Karate
